About David Kirk
Stand-up comedian. Sales professional. Trainer.
David Kirk is a stand-up comedian from Southern Illinois known for turning everyday life, relationships, and small-town experiences into sharp, relatable comedy. He has shared the stage with comedians such as Hannibal Buress, Greg Warren, Sam Tallent, Fiona Cauley, Michael Palascak, Casey Rocket, and many others, and is part of the Comic Invasion Live tour and TV project.
In addition to performing, David produces a monthly comedy show and open mic, co-hosts the podcast Name That Podcast with fellow comedian Brice Evans, and is the co-creator of the Little Egypt Comedy Festival.
David has a BA in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from McKendree University.
Before stepping on stage, David spent over a decade in the roofing industry, building a successful career in sales, sales management, and training. He has consistently generated over $1 million in annual residential sales and has led teams, developed sales processes, and helped companies grow through structured yet authentic sales systems.
The Bridge Between Worlds
What sets David apart is his ability to connect these two worlds.
Through both comedy and sales, he realized the same truth: the best performers aren't just following a script—they're delivering it in a way that feels natural, engaging, and human. Just like comedians refine their timing, handle hecklers, and work a room, great salespeople learn how to present, connect, and respond in real time.
David now brings this unique perspective into his training programs, teaching sales teams—especially in the roofing and home services industries—how to use humor, personality, and structure to improve communication, build trust, and close more deals.
"Whether he's on stage performing comedy or working with a sales team, David's mission is simple: help people connect, communicate, and perform at a higher level—while actually enjoying the process."
